Allos
Allos is a breath pacer app that uses music as the guide. I’ve overseen all of its branding and design: the identity, the app’s interface, the website and the marketing around it.

Breathing practice you listen to
Allos is built around resonance frequency breathing: slow, steady breathing at a pace you set. Its idea is to let music do the guiding. You choose music to match your mood, set your breaths per minute and your inhale to exhale ratio, and the music adjusts to that pace.
I’ve overseen all of the branding and design, with most of my attention on the app’s UI and UX.
A dark interface with a few bright parts
The app stays dark and quiet so a handful of elements can carry the colour. A magenta to violet curve shows the shape of each breath. A single row of numbers sets breaths per minute, and one switch sets the ratio. Music is sorted by mood, from Chill and Ambient to Orchestral, and each category has its own line icon.
A set of visual pacers gives the breath something to follow on screen: a hot air balloon, a wave, a ring rising over mountains. They are playful enough for the whole family to use. A calendar tracks practice over time, with sessions per week, minutes per session and total minutes.

The same system outside the app
The brand runs through everything around the product. A landing page introduces the student plan, which gives students with a .edu email half off the full subscription.

In print, for clinicians and coaches
A rack card introduces Allos to the clinicians and coaches it is designed to support. It explains the approach in four steps and notes that the app works alongside most HRV biofeedback apps.
